Plastic Tubing
Halmar offers a wide range of metric and standard plastic tubing from different materials, in a variety of colors and sizes. We carry the tubing that meets your requirements for temperature, pressure, chemical resistance, and flexibility.
Polyurethane
Polyurethane has a high resistance to abrasion while being highly flexible and kink resistant. Its most notable quality is its “memory.” Polyurethane will stretch and flex but always return to its original shape. It is available in 23 standard colors and a virtually infinite number of color variations. Polyurethane is our most versatile product, with more options and variations available than with any other tubing.
Nylon
Nylon tubing can withstand higher temperatures, making it an ideal choice for a wide variety of applications. When compared to other nylon resins, the tubing we stock allows for a lighter weight wall, greater flexibility and smaller bend radius. It is also more corrosion resistant than other types of nylon tubing because of its resistance to moisture absorption. The tubing has heat and UV stabilization that makes it resistant to stress cracking; therefore it works well in sunny areas. It is chemical-resistant, which makes it a good choice in areas where exposure to certain chemicals is a possibility.
Polyethylene
Polyethylene is chemically resistant and very flexible. It is made from 100% virgin resin material and perfect for all food contact applications and potable water applications. Our polyethylene has a high molecular weight resin, which provides increased dimensional stability, uniformity and long-term strength. It is also our most economical tubing solution.
PVC
PVC tubing is made from 100% virgin material and meets all FDA specifications for materials in contact with food and drugs. Our PVC has a smooth interior and exterior which prevents sediment accumulation, making it well-suited for the food & beverage, medical and pharmaceutical industries. Halmar also offers reinforced PVC hose, which has an open weave inner braid for increased working pressures up to 250 psi. The smooth-bore, full-flow I.D. dimensions are sized to fit standard commercial barbed fittings.
